Avid Code-R 4-Piston Disc Brakes

The Code-R 4-piston disc brake features the MatchMaker compatible handlebar split-clamp for easy install/removal. The Elixir-inspired flip-flop lever body with an integrated reservoir and exclusive TaperBore master cylinder technology gives improved power and deep-stroke modulation. Offers a code-design, tri-bearing (cartridge) lever pivot system for low-friction actuation, plus a 2-piece blade with a resettable break-away cam. The disc crake comes with power reserve geometry, and external, tool-free pad contact engagement and indexed-wheel lever reach adjustments. The lighter, 2-piece forged aluminum caliper with a dual diameter / 4-piston design gives added power and modulation, plus a center-mount banjo for crash protection and angle adjustment. The redesigned top-loading pad replacement offers easy access and sighting. The brake also comes with a full hydraulic (DOT 5.1) system with automatic pad adjust and drip-free bleeding.
